Term and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply to all design services provided by The Little Design House. By requesting services from The Little Design House you, the client, are agreeing to the following terms and conditions, whether or not you have been provided with a copy. For further information regarding these terms and conditions please contact us.CopyrightThe Little Design House owns the copyright of all artwork, files and content (except content supplied by the client). These may not be copied or altered without consent from The Little Design House. The copyright of any initial concepts and design ideas that may have been supplied to you during the project remains that of The Little Design House. We retain the right to use these initial concepts at anytime.Full copyright for each job will be passed over to the client on completion of work commissioned. However, The Little Design House retains the right to use the final artwork in for both offline and online purposes e.g. self promotion.Any images or text supplied by the client must be the clients own or licensed for use by the client. The Little Design House cannot be held responsible for any breach of copyright laws. CancellationsClients of The Little Design House have the right to cancel an order at any time. In the event of cancellation, the client will be invoiced for the cost of the work carried out so far based on the hourly rate fee (£35/hr).Fees and ChargesThe Little Design House reserves the right to amend the final fees to include additional charges such as , but not limited to, font purchasing, image purchasing, photography commissions, domain registering, web hosting and out of pocket expenses such as travel for purposes of the commissioned job. These will be submitted on the invoice at the project end. Project EndAll deliverables shall be deemed complete once the client has signed off the work or indicated satisfaction either verbally, in writing, via e-mail, post or other methods. If the client fails to communicate with The Little Design House for a period of more than 30 days without explanation, the project shall be deemed satisfactory and complete.PaymentThe Little Design House accepts payment by cheque, bank transfer, credit or debit card via Paypal or cash, within 30 days of invoice. The Little Design House reserves the right to withhold final design files or withdraw any web pages until full payment has been received for the job.Any payment returned by our bank will incur an administration charge. This will be invoiced and added to the outstanding debt owed by the client.3rd Party SuppliersThe Little Design House may use 3rd party suppliers such as, but not limited to, printers, photographers and copywriters in order to fulfill the job requirements. The Little Design House will not be held responsible for any problems or delays that may occur from using 3rd party suppliers.SecurityThe Little Design House uses firewall and virus checking software to ensure the security of any emails or files we may send to our clients. The Little Design House will not be held responsible for any computer software or hardware problems the client may incur.General TermsThe Little Design House reserves the right to refuse to commit to any project that we may judge as unfit due to content or otherwise.The acceptance of a project shall be deemed as a contractual agreement between the client and The Little Design House. We cannot always guarantee to start work immediately on a project but will inform the client of estimated timescales upon acceptance of the project, as per proposal. The Little Design House will not be responsible for delays should any unforseen event happen such as, war, strike, riot, crime, or an "act of God" (e.g. flooding, earthquake, volcano) or death, illness, incapacity or any other event beyond The Little Design House's control. Privacy PolicyThe Little Design House is committed to protecting the privacy of its clients. Any information we collect is necessary to start the job and to provide clients with the best possible service. We do not share or sell information to 3rd parties.The information we collect from clients in order to work on design projects includes; name, address, phone number, and email address. If a client has arranged their own hosting, The Little Design House will also require access to an FTP account on the client's domain in order to upload/maintain their website.
